Doug, make sure they are ballistic glasses. A bit of clay flying at your raybans will smash them.

John. Shut up, you tit.

Musto gear is great, I don't have Musto shooting gear but all my offshore stuff is Musto and I've not found anything better or with more longevity.

I shoot in a bright orange Browning skeet vest, cap and Peltors.

I use this: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141332981756&alt=web

Also have the coat version for winter. D3o pad got binned off though, just gets in the way

I noticed that the vest I bought has the space for a D30 pad. Are they just not worth bothering with?

Typically the loads used are only 21g so barely any recoil. Only time I would use bigger loads will be some pigeon or driven shooting next season.

Wouldn't worry about it; getting smacked in the face hurts more than recoil ever does.

Vest arrived and it might be the most statically charged item of clothing in history
I'm hoping it gets better once worn a few times as I expect it is the waterproof coating.

I'm off for a 100 sporting round this afternoon which might be interesting in the wind!

Is there a noticeable difference between 21gm and 28gm cartridges for sporting clays?
Is there a big price difference between buying 1000 and 5000 cartridges?

The sporting round went well earlier. For my second time shooting we did a typical 100 sporting round that included some midi clays and some sim pairs.

I managed to get 47/100 which isn't great but considering it was only my second attempt and regular shooters had hit less than that today; I'm fairly pleased.

Really can't wait to get my certificate through now though. It will make it so much cheaper to get out and get shooting! Have to pay £6.80 per box of 21gm shells :-(

Don't know yet, I know the Olympic blues are rubbish and seen to be filled with dust. A school mate of mine is in the top 3 in the country and recommended these. I've got the superbs for £162 per 1000.

The great British shooting show is not too far from me. Is it worth going to? Any bargains to be had?

If I could pick up a nice second hand Browning 525/725 for a good price I would be happy.

Anyone else going?

I have come across that forum a few times. Is it a good general site? Will go get registered and have a browse

Still got a few bits I need so will see what second hand stuff there is. Cartridge bag, Gun Slip, Gun and there are probably some other bits that I don't even know about yet

Yeah it's a great forum. All differnt types of shooting on there not just stuck up clay shooters like on shootclay forum. It's my go to shooting forum.

Got the nice Bisley kit for Christmas

I will have a read up on the forum, especially to understand about some of the good game loads as I have some pigeon shooting on a friends farm whenever I want it. Will be a while before I take up the offer though, as I am keen to ensure my shooting is up to scratch first!

I'm going to the shooting show at stoneleigh.

Mainly to look into new guns. I like to hold as may as possible and then go and look for 2nd hand.

A friend has bought a few monts ago a 12bore Revo gun new. He loves it. Only about £500 new. Hoping to try that out before I go to the show.

They do have a lot of deals at the show aswell.

How long after the interview would you expect to wait until you get the certificate through the post? A week or so?
