been reading this progress thread 4 ages now, keep up the good work matey

Cheers! It must be revving to about 4-5k from cold so I've just turned it off straight away because I was worried about breaking something. AW06 has given me some helpful advice over msn about the ICV so I'm going to try those out tomorrow. If not I'll just have to do as you said and see if it calms itself down if all else fails

bloody hell i didnt no it was reving to 5k though lol
yh idve fort it was ur icv then, because ive started mine up with a vac hose off before, and it did rev alot higher and run lumpy but it was no where near 5k :S
so yh, sort the icv out and give it a good run and im sure it wil b fine mate

dont cut the induction pipe for the temp sensor mate, just buy the resistor in a black box to plug into it and tuck the sensor out of the way somewhere. That what i done. Looked good aswel then with nothing in my induction pipe.

you dont want it drawing air in after the filter by cutting a hole for the sensor.
Thats all the resistor will do is tell the car its slightly colder than what it actually is.

jibjob, AW06 is right they come as standard Should be able to get some easily enough at a scrappy I would have thought.

Gez, not sure what to do to be honest. My plan was to make a small hole on the underside of the silicone pipe so that you wouldn't be able to see it when fitted but it would still be able to get an accurate reading. If I got a good seal it would be alright wouldn't it?

XSIHardy, cheers My parking has improved slightly since then lol

It shouldn't be much longer now Dan. Around the middle of May ish at the very lastest I'm hoping. As long as its on the road for PVS I'll be happy. I just need to get it running sweet then start putting it all back together so I can get it MOT'd

Thanks Mark! I can't wait for PVS now. That reminds me actually, I still haven't bought my ticket!

Ahhh i can honestly say on all the corsa's ive ever seen ive never seen them Have you thought about getting a pipe with an outlet on it? You can get them any size but the one ive ordered is this one

Thanks Matt

I had thought about getting one of those Jon yeah but my viper wouldn't fit on one of those properly because the pipe isn't angled. I'm sure I'll sort something out for it lol.

Today I've had a quick play with the ICV. I cleaned it all out and plugged it in but didn't fit it into the Throttle body so I could so what it was doing. When I turn the ignition on and off it moves in and out fine so I don't think its broken. I've moved the valve back in a bit as well. So I'm still thinking I must of had an air leak in the system somewhere. So I'm just about to order some new vacuum hosing so I can re-do it all those, refit everything and make sure its 100% right. Fingers crossed that sorts it

TPS? try pushing down hard on the inlet manifold, it might not have a good seal to the lower inlet
