Seriously can't wait Aron! It going to be so nice having it back on the road for the summer so I can finally start enjoying it again

Its got a black dash though yeah. I think the light in the pics makes it look lighter than it is.

Dan that doesn't sound good lol. Hope you get it sorted soon!

I'd thought about it John yeah. leaving it as it is though, its more the sort of mod I associate with track style cars. Don't think it would look right in mine

Valid comeback althought there have been alot of featured cars that either have flocked dashes, or maybe alcantara idea, just think it would improve the look over plastic but alot nicer then painting

UPDATE!

Despite the majorly shit weather quite a bit of progress has been made with the car today This morning me and my dad set about removing the dashboard while the weather wasnt too bad

Then Luke and Dan arrived to help crack on with removing the old 1.0 12v dash loom. The first thing we had to do with discount all the Toad Alarm from the old loom which was a bit of a pain but we got there in the end marking all the wires as we went along. I think I'm going to need to get a pro to rewire it in as it doesn't look the easiest of jobs lol

With the alarm all discounted we could now start removing the loom It came out fairly easy although a couple of wires did have to be cut but that was no biggy. Now that I've seen how the loom has come out I'm feeling a lot more confident about how the new looms are going to work. Dan also showed me how the engine loom goes and the best way to fit it so I've got a good idea of whats involved now

A quick pic while the immobiliser was being removed!

With that sorted we started to push the loom from the engine bay back through into the car and finally got it out.

One of Luke modelling the old loom haha

The interiors looking much barer now Can't wait to start fitting the new one!

A HUGE thanks has to go to Dan and Luke who were a massive help even though the weather really was shocking! Couldn't of done it without you lads

More updates coming sooon!

Cheers Mark!

Dan, I was feeling really confident about getting it up and running by the of the easter holidays until we started work on it this afternoon Hit a nasty problem

We were trying to connect up the gear linkage when we realised there was a clamp on the engine mount end to connect it After a bit of research I found out that its a soddin Nova one BOLLOCKS springs to mind! I should have checked it after realising the front gearbox mount was a Nova one as well but oh well its done now.

Heres a picture to show the problem

So I think its pretty safe to say this engines been in a Nova at some point.

Hopefully I get this snag sorted tommorrow so I can crack on with my wiring and get motivated again

as said above, done a few engine conversions in the past, cant expect not to be held back a little bit, atleast its not a big problem, wont be much longer till you get it running
