Cheers for the comments lads!

Mark, whereabouts was that? I didn't clock you

Cheers Shaun, gave them a polish with some autosol before putting them on, i love the reflections in the dish can't wait for PVS. It's gonna be immense, looks like there'll be a good turn out too. I'll have a few party pieces done for to win you over some more too

The wheels are OZ routes 15x7 ET 42 running 185/45/15 Nankangs for the slight stretch. Pretty rare i think, not seen any others before put it that way. Nose will definitely be going lower

Updates galore. Dash work is about 90% finished, custom LED's and switches ordered and on the way, just a few tweeks to the dials/surround to be done and then actual fitting of everything (which im not looking forward to :lol. Was going to be doing it this weekend but i'm going down to kent for the weekend with the mrs instead. Still need to source a black carpet, possibly a vectra GSI steering wheel and new arches to get sprayed up with the exterior trim. Still lots to do before PVS but the to-do list is slowly getting smaller. Can't wait . Got some irmscher CDX front and rear bumper panels for sale too, sale thread will be going up soon.

Oh yeah. Some cunt's stole my dice valve caps angry is not the word

Was there any progress on that rare Irmy grille you picked up or did you end up selling it on?

Right, so figured i'd take some pics and update. Dash is out AGAIN to try and sort the problems with the switches and dials not illuminating. I can't find any faults with the earths, can't see any trapped wires etc so i'm a bit stumped as to what may have caused this. Here's some pictures anyway.

Overall

Passenger side

Driver side

Close up of earths

And a sneak peek at my dials still need paint though

The back, just in case anyone can spot any faults with that. Replaced the lights A, B and C with LED's. Dials also seem to read 10mph fast, any way to 'recalibrate' them kinda thing?

So i'm pretty much stumped on that, guess the only thing i can do is put it all back in and see if they work. If not then i dunno what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

Haynes manual is your friend. check the earth paths on that and then check fuses and that. also, bulbs are a fucker on these. i did an led conversion on my old sport and they didnt work. it ended up being that i had got the connectors on the bulbs wedged behind the green connector sheet on the back of the dials.

Yep, checked fuses, that was the first thing i did, all fine. Well, after much fucking around the dash is partly back in now, still gotta put all the little trim bits in and on it but looks like all the switches work and half the dials light up gonna take the dials out again tomorrow to see whats up with them, i'll check what you said Mark . Only thing now, my HID's don't work haha, i'll have a fiddle, should get everything sorted tomorrow. This car is a right balls up sometimes, seems nothing goes smoothly on it makes me dread thinking about doing an engine conversion

Yeah, the dials were fine before, im gonna have a test when it's all back together and see if i can get them matched up with satnav speed. I think it might have just been when i changed the needles

The speedo will always be out due to the larger wheels than standard, theres no way of rectifying it. The satnav will be giving the correct reading.

Yeah, it was around 10% out before, 3mph slow at 30mph 8mph out at 80mph sorta thing but now it seems to be 10 mph out constantly through the range plus the amount it was out before. Dunno whether it's cos the clocks start at 10mph and i put the needle bang on the post if you get what i mean
