My mates 02 VTR has developed a screwed engine mount too, by the looks of things this is a common fault then?

x1 new mount and all rubbers and x2 new gear box mounts.


My god its like a different car


so so quite

Gearbox is sharper and smoother


Pickup is alot better


No nasty clunks anywhere



Must have been on its way out when I got it as it wasnt this quite and smooth then.

Not sure whats next going to wait to see how I feel about it after its been on track. Doing a taster session at brands next month and then coombe with WR in september.


So that will highlight anything that I want to change and anything that falls off

There is nothing the ctr did better other then look better and have more space

Car has been perfect all week with its new engine mount no rattles at all

However after some enthusiastic driving last night the exhaust has started blowing (not a big deal)

But its also now cutting out at junctions all the time once warm.
There was a cheap tb with all sensors for sale on saxp so I have just got myself that to see if that solves it. At least it will rule out alot of the sensors if not.

Hope it fixes it though

no drives spot on but just dies at junctions or goes spluttery. and if you boot it hard and then stop and dib the clutch it will sometimes cut out

Maybe its over fueling

anyway I will fit this throttle body and then that will rule out the icv temp sensor and throttle position sensor.

Where is the map sensor on these things?
