got abit more done last few days,took the sump off,cleaned it all up inside and out,painted it to,then cleaned out all bottom end,replaced sump gasket seal and refitted,think it looks great all painted up  cleaned all the flywheel up ready to fit my clutch kit,and turns out autovaux sent me the wrong clutch! wouldnt fit not happy! anyway they hopefully going to refund me and im going to get one from my local dealer tomorrow then theres that to fit then gearbox,electrics couple of small toches then hopfully be getting mounted monday night if all goes to plan

well im struggling to find a clutch kit that fits at the moment keep getting sent wrong ones  ,was hoping to get it in this weekend,anyway been doing little bits and bobs and started fitting the engine loom today got as much as i could done without the gbox on e.t.c then found a damaged coolant pipe so need to replace that aswell now so no more progress till payday really pics

hey guys anouther update, last night i managed to finally get my clutch fitted after struggling to get one and also got my gearbox fitted,got loads of new shiney nuts and bolts for most things toalso tonight bolted on coilpack,one of the engine mounts,tidyed a sorted all my wiring out,and slipped my manifold on not fitted just seing what it looks like on,im not happy with it would prefer it satin black does anyone know a descent heat spray that doesnt melt in seconds on a manifold? all thats left efore its ready to go in is,get alternator secured properly,get my coolant hoses for back of the engine,fit diff seals and general check over
also purchased anouther new driveshaft, seems it self destructed along with the diff at santapod

hey guys made good progress today! seems the engine was ready and gorgeous weather decided to crack on with getting the x16xe mounted! after abit of a struggle she was eventualy mounted in! not put an engine in on the driveway before but was all good!, anyway once she was in and had some dinner,started on getting all the wiring sorted out and theheater pipes clutch cabel e.t.c basically got everything i could done without having the inlet manifold on,radiator fitted e.t.c as there getting painted and im buying a new radiotor, anyway got all that done and got all the loom routed into the car and fitted the ecu also tomorrows plan is get underneath sorted both driveshafts,ball joints anti roll bar e.t.c heres some pics im well happy its not far away just need money for parts

Looking good, getting there and not far to go! I didnt know if i liked the yellow cam cover to start with, but now the engines in situ, it looks spot on

cheers mate yeah im loving the fact there not far to go now been so long now nearly 5 months rediculous! lol yeah it looks kinda cool yellow but its just yellow primer its getting sprayed arden blue to go with my blue samco hoses just left it fitted so no crap can get into the cams e.t.c

Ah lol must have missed that somewhere  , Should look good with the blue samcos, Im thinking of doing the same but with an anthracite cover, so it'll interesting to see how it looks, when its running.

hi guys anouther small update
my samco hoses came today really happy with them cant wait to fit them! when i get my new radiator in a couple of weeks
also got my new diff seals,both driveshafts fitted the other night put the gear oil in,and also fitted both bottom ball joints and the anti roll bar so progressing,just waiting for mt rocker cover to come back from sandblasting then a can paint that and payday to buy some more bits,then she can be started thansk for looking
