We've organised a friendly with the Champions of the Premier Division should be fun

The team play and train literally 5 mins walk from my house, and 3/4 of my mates play for them. The team I started to play for last season was a 25minute drive away and I didn't know anybody.

Should be easier this time round.

always better if you can play with people you actually get on with and share a pint with

We're looking forward to life in the 2nd division. Gonna be a lot harder but I reckon we could do quite well.

Some of our 5-a-side players are talking about getting a league team together we played monday again and I am getting really into it again. Touch is back, stamina is soo much better, must have lost a good half a stone in the last month in sweat

We had a beer afterwards on monday, it's good for the ones we don't normally socialise with i.e. a bit of banter and competition for the next week

Tom

Had training last night, had a very good turnout considering we had quite a few people out through minor injuries and those who were working etc...

I scored a scissor kick from a 40yard cross what was even more impressive was the fact that we were using these tiny 5-a-side goals that were about 4ft by 3ft hurt my hand when I landed on it though

had a pre season friendly on sunday. was only 10 a side mind but still decent. i played full 90 mins on right wing. tbh i was excellent, tracked back, helped up front did some decent crosses. and scored the last goal we won 6-4 against the team that beat us in the last 2 friendlys (they are a few divisions higher) was a great game

i didn't used to, it used to be 5 a side on a thurs and training on a weds.

but since 5 a side finished my mates started 6 a side which is also a weds.

so o i go to 6's at 7 which finishes at 8. drive round the corner to the next training. do passinf etc etc for an hour then astro turf for an hour.

last week i couldnt move after it. felt good tho

how was training last night Ryan?

Mine was alright, our team got whooped but it was a good runaround. Got a few new players coming through who look pretty good!

well we on our 6-a-side game and had 4 subs so wasnt that tiring. then we didnt start training till about 8:40 so did 20 mins of practice before an hour on the astro. was only 5 a side on an 8 a side pitch so was a bit boring but decent fitness i spose. sweat was pouring off me, was well humid last night

Had our 1st pre-season training session today...did well considering I havnt played properly for about 6 months due to injury. My ankle feels 99% fine im getting no pain in it and no reaction after training which is good...

Did a lot of running then an 8 a-side 2 touch match on a half pitch. We were joined by two of the lads who play professionally today for a bit of a run around...one plays for a side in the Championship as a right back...the other plays in league 1 as a striker and probably his teams best player. Fuckin good players they looked strong...you could tell they trained everyday due to maaaasssive thigh and calf muscles ...think there nearly due back at there clubs to start pre-season soon so where just blowing the cobwebs out...

Im in a weird situation...where at this moment im moving to London in August if I dont get another job offer nearer to home before then so going to training is kinda sad as it may be all in vain... all about the fitness though...

Were gonna be training every sunday for the next couple of weeks then step it up to wednesday nights and Sunday mornings as the season gets nearer. We have 5 friendlies lined up before the season starts...cant wait to start playing proper games as training gets very boring quickly!!

I'm dreading pre season now, starts on the 7th of July although I'll miss the first session due to a holiday. Have been out on my push bike etc but not feeling as fit as I probably should do at the moment

Our first Training session is early July.
Im on holiday for 2 weeks as from next week so am guna miss the first few training session!! Can't wait to get back into training and more importantly play my first match for almost a year!!
Feel 100% ready now!!
Going to start playing 5 a side tuesdays, training thursdays and firendlies/training sundays until the season starts!!

Having last year on the sidelines has certainly got my hunger for playing back!! Haven't felt this up for the start of a season for a couple of years now!!!

it's a good feeling isn't it hope everything goes well for you

Have training tonight but haven't been feeling well for the past few days so not sure whether to give it a miss or not. I don't have anything else better to do so might as well.

Can't wait for the season to start. We've had a few new players come to train with us and they can all handle themselves. Have a feeling the higher division will be tough for us though

1st Training session is over! Had about 20 people which is excellent and think everyone enjoyed it (I hope), also had about half a dozen throwing up

Looking at about 6 weeks of training then 3 weeks of games before the season starts. 2 weeks time were doing a Twenty20 cricket match after training so all good for team spirit

My first training session back with Wick on Tuesday (missed first couple as was on Hol) going to be tired I think. First friendly is next weekend, really looking forward to it.

had our first friendly yesterday. Lost 3-2.

I scored 1. We played crap though and looked lost in centre mid. I was getting a bit irate to say the least. So frustrating when you're chasing crap balls and running your ass off, then you see the midfield just jogging around. I know it's only a friendly but still.

Another good training session yesterday, 20+ people there again.

Afterwards we done a twenty20 cricket match, my team batted first and posted 163-7 I hit 73n.o. and in reply they made 131-4 took 1 wicket also. Was fantastic for team spirit, great laugh.#

Hopefully a game next Sunday v Seer Green, will be first friendly of the season so cant wait
