Quick query...trawled through the search option, and hasne't given me a specific answer relating to my question..
Someone mentioned the GSI's with the x16xe engine is exactly the same engine as the 1.6 sport x16xe...
what I need to find out is, are the wiring looms exactly the same?

I would imagine so mate as they have the same engine codes

Brilliant.. you wouldn't know for sure? I thought someone said to me a while ago that there was some sensor on the gsi engine that the sport one didnt have...making them slightly different?

im not sure but the C16XE is diffrent altogether. i always thought and was lead to believe the X16XE in the later GSi and Sport 1.6 was the same

x16xe is the same in both models, the C16xe has some slight differences.

thats what I wanted to hear...so it doesn't matter whether the loom is from a gsi or not as long as it was the post 93/94/whenever they fitted the x16's in them
