thats what I wanted to hear...so it doesn't matter whether the loom is from a gsi or not as long as it was the post 93/94/whenever they fitted the x16's in them

x16xe is the same in both models, the C16xe has some slight differences.

im not sure but the C16XE is diffrent altogether. i always thought and was lead to believe the X16XE in the later GSi and Sport 1.6 was the same

Brilliant..:) you wouldn't know for sure? I thought someone said to me a while ago that there was some sensor on the gsi engine that the sport one didnt have...making them slightly different? :o

Quick query...trawled through the search option, and hasne't given me a specific answer relating to my question..

Someone mentioned the GSI's with the x16xe engine is exactly the same engine as the 1.6 sport x16xe...

what I need to find out is, are the wiring looms exactly the same?
