Just too double check a few things...

Which colour wires from these blocks do i snip off from the xe loom...

Are they the only wires i cut from the xe loom?

Do they join to the plug from my 8v loom that went into this in car loom:

Cut all and then colour match all that you can then tape up red wire and run black one to a one pin plug that sits under the distributor...

Cut them all off and soilder on the plug off of the Corsa loom, match the wires colour for colour, there will be 2 or 3 unused ones. You will have a spare ignition live, as said above, this is red or black, depends on which one you choose to use It's ideal for wiring in an Astra GSi MFD

ITS A SINGLE PIN BLACK PLUG, JUST RUN A WIRE FROM THE BLACK WIRE BACK UP THE LOOM AND ACROSS THE FUEL RAIL THEN SOLDER IT TO THE PLUG UNDER THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND TAPE UP....

I don't get it...if you have the whole wiring loom and ECU, why would you need to cut and join all those wires?? I just removed the whole 1.6 loom and replaced it with the whole 2.0 loom from an astra gsi, have I done it right

it wont join to the corsa body loom.. the connectors are different... once its cut and rejoined in the right place then just use the corsa starter loom for the starter/altenator..

the engine wiring loom was not connected to the starter loom, so i've basically removed the whole 1.6 loom and ecu from the engine and drivers footwell and replaced it with the c20xe loom and ecu.

yeah and theres a plug in the drivers footwell from the corsa body loom(you dont remove the body loom)... this plug will not connect to the 2.0 loom as the plug is different...

yea, i know that one. thats the plug that depresurizes the fuel system. So you just cut that and connect it onto the 2.0 loom

its the fuel relay you remove to depresurise the system... i'd say if you disconnected the plug er... the car probably wouldnt turn over or nuthin...

No it isn't.

Just to clarify:

Everything is more or less plug and play, apart from the connections for the dash board info and the puel pump relay ignition live connection.

When using a Cavalier loom; you need to cut off the two loose plugs on the wiring loom by the ECU plug. You then cut the plug off of the Corsa loom that was in the same place by the main ECU plug and join this colour for colour to the Cavalier engine loom. and plug this back into the matching plug on the Corsa. You will be left over with a red and a black wire (any others are not important as they will be for things you don't have). You need to run a wire from the black plug by the fuel pump relay back through to the ECU and join it to either the red or black wire, they are both ignition lives.

You use the Corsa starter motor/alternator loom which is a plug and play replacement for that whi was originally on the engine.

A Calibra loom is slightly different as the fuel pump relay is by the ECU.

^so with a calibra loom its just the plug that needs to be joined onto the loom? this would be quite handy for me as the engine i have is out of a cally...

I'm not 100%, though the + for the relay will be in close proximity to what it needs to be wired to so it will make things easier for you...

black wire goes to single pin plug by the fuel pump relay, also near the coil.

Will it make a diference if the red wire is connected to the battery positive from the cav loom then?
