In regards to wiring it depends if yours is a later corsa or a newer one? the older corsas are a dodle to do the wiring, its the 97 onwards where it gets harder so you would need to look into that.

as for gear linkage that does need to be extended ur best bet for questions and info is to U2U Lee Mitchell who has done a few conversions

Oh and 20XE all the way more tunable and lots of torque which the 1.4/1.6 lack

im going to be getting it done too, i've a N reg LS aswell (1.4 SPI), going to be putting a C20XE rebored to 2.1 in, some of the questions you've asked are ones I was wondering about, especially about the wiring loom. A lad I know just put a new engine in his Nova GTE, gone from a 1.6i to a 1.8 with webber carbs, dont ask why, if anything I think its slower than before, but he's not got it set up proper yet. He had to replace all the wiring, including the car wiring (lights, etc), I just need a little more info on the corsa wiring, what needs to be replaced and what won't

ull need:

Engine - C20XE
Gearbox - that goes with the C20XE
Loom - that goes with the C20XE
PVD fitting kit - to suit 2.0 into a corsa
Uprated suspension and high poundege springs
2.0 GTE Brakes is allways good, u can get V6 jobbies if u want, just cost more

and either ur self, a mate or pay some1 to fit it all

get a insurance quote that ur happy with b4 u do it, otherwise it will end up in tears

Can be done lots cheaper than the PVD route but if you got the money then go for it.

There is always a cheaper way.
