Looks just about exactly the same as 8 but you've now got an icon to take you back to the 'metro' start menu instead of just clicking in that corner.

Caught a glimpse of The Gadget Show with some Panasonic Tough Book thing. Pretty sure it was Windows 8.1 proper.

Increased security features and other stuff too apparently.

Seems EXACTLY the same

Apart from to unlock all 8.1 features need to buy an additional product key...

I guess that's why its called Windows 8.1 and not windows 9
