Got a choice of what to do to the car next either,

progressive 40bhp of nos from wizards of nos, or regal are doing sport cams and the remap to take it to 160bhp.

thing is, never been in a car with nos and dont know which would be the better option, anyone any ideas which would be the best??

its on a 1.8 corsa c

thank

pointless on standard ecu. gains will be minimal. need to go to standalone mappable management with vernier pulleys to be able to time them properly.

NOS is just expensive and needs a refill every so often. Also dodgey on a road car and can fuck the engine

1) nos isnt illegal as such
2) a decent setup on a progressive controller will be safe, just dont get greedy

but with cams and re-map you'd get a permanent bhp increase where as with nos its manual performance if that makes sense

With you on this one. If it was me, I would rather have the power there all the time instead of having to push a button for it.

cams and a remap will not take it from 123 bhp to 160 Bhp. you might see 130 bhp

thats regal for you! their claims are always over estimated. ask them for a guarantee that the cams and software will produce that much power. also read the spec, its not a guaranteed increase. a gain of 10 bhp is achieveable.

Thats all the inforamtion they have on there website about it, but will call them a bit closer to the time to see if they can near enough guarantee a 40bhp increase by testing it before and after.

Surely they cant advertise that it will give you 160bhp when most you will see is around 10bhp increase, that only a 1/4 of what they say.

Spoke to a guy from regal other day and says the remap takes it to around 140bhp, and i know superchips can give it another 12bhp, but again this is only stated on there website.
