Fault code 56 on a x14xe

Take the induction kit off and put the airbox back on...

The induction kit was on it when i bought the car and its only been playing up for the past month so would it be that?

Mine was fine but it just started boggin down and reving at 200 revs. It's really slow until 4000 and its like boost kicks in or somethin and just jolts forward!

worth doing as said there, clean the ICV out with some WD40 first, see if it helps, could be linked, otherwise just replace the offending air control solenoid & see how it goes

induction kit will NOT cause this faultcode...

o i yer i thought it was to do with a different problem! i have cleaned the icv and made no difference! vauxhall have never heard of the part so websites would be useful. thanks

easiest way, goto vaux, say you want a new sensor...

take them to the car & show them!

either that, or go a scrappy & just grab one!"

scrap yards ive bin to and they have never heard of it. has anyone on here ever heard of a air control solenoid????

never heard of an "air control solenoid" its not even listed in the vx tis or epc the nearest listing to that is an idle control valve but that to do with the heater matrix

it could be a number of things tho

it come up as 'air control solenoid' 'low voltage'
