as above need some advice/pics of what the c16xe looks like without the upper and lower inlet manifold on??

as ive dropped a 13mm ratchet tip roughly behind the alternator and its fallen further in so i cant even see it now, but its their somwere under the lower inlet manifold!

tried jerking car back n forth to shake it out but no luck!???

its easier than removing the inlet fanimould on my 2 litre

the haynes manual says i can undo just the top mounting bracket and pivot the alternator to the side!
maybe i can see were it is then but it really depends how much i can move it?

i can imagine... i put a c16xe lump in there last week and its tight enough i can imagine a c20xe being tighter again....

@ magic monkey... unless u have have droped the tool into the inlet itsself i wouldnt bother going taking the maanifold off to find it.... just drive the car..... it will soon fall out

It will be sat either between the block and inlet trunking of between the plastic water pipe and block, like siberia said just drive it
