Interested to see the points difference after Canada. Hamilton is famously strong there!

I bet Lewis, even in his wildest dreams, couldn't have imagined closing the points gap to the extent he did at Monaco. I bet he's laying there laughing right now

Hulkenberg out dragging Nico to the chequered flag was an awesome sight. I miss Vijay, he's a certified nutcase!

It's a pretty massive point swing considering both cars finished the race.

My only hope for Lewis was that RBR/Ferrari pick their game up and occasionally get between the Mercs to allow Lewis more than a potential 7 point gain each race, but never did I expect both FI cars to get between them

Great race - only watched it yesterday

Redbull did gift the win to Lewis but must say his wet stint was pretty impressive

Looking forward to Canada now to see the pace of redbull - to see if its genuine pace or because Monaco was a less hungry horsepower circuit

Anyone else think Skysports commentating getting worse

At one point they spent five mins talking about which Jacket MB was going to wear on the podium

Crofty is the new Murray Walker for me

Can't wait for Austria now

Bin David Croft and poach Coulthard from C4 to sit alongside Brundle.

Brundle is extremely patient with Crofty given the amount of shite he spouts; often completely incorrect too.

Thankfully we get Paul di Resta et al. who for P1/P2 can keep Croft's nonsense in check. Fine enough bloke, just spouts too much shite.

Watched CH4 highlights in addition to Sky coverage of Monaco and Ch4 have it worse IMO with Ben Edwards.

For EVERY VSC he would scream into his mic "PROBLEM, LEWIS HAS A PROBLEM" as he backed the pace off.

Crofty is a tit though, and MB/DC was a commentary dreamtime IMO.

Laughable. Not watched any C4 coverage yet. Have a hankering to see what DC & MW are like though.

Maybe again in the future. Jenson or Coulthard to Sky would be good, not flummoxed by a camera and microphone. Someone who commands a level of respect in the paddock. Whilst I enjoy Herbert, I'm not sure of his stature. Damon also a valuable asset to have but sometimes appears like he's been caught wanking when questioned.

I can't stand Crofty. He's a complete retard who constantly messed up the names of drivers. Sure I've said it before n this thread.

He see's the exact same as we see yet still can't get it right. Imbecile.

Who is the one on C4? Drives me insane when they mess it up constantly, how hard is it to look at the screen like we are and get things right. It's not even now and then, it's constantly through the race

Mercedes must be wondering what Ferrari have on their car that makes their starts so good. Virtually every time its better and if Mercedes have poor start they just walk by.

Good race overall, good there was alternative strategies which kept it interesting

Lewis and Vettel looked like best mates in the cool down room. Vettel drove well,.apart from those lockups into the final corner.

Seagulls part afterwards was absolute gold. Sky TV must have been rubbing their hands at that bit.

Indeed, so rare to see the drivers interacting like without any forced scripting or without just spewing the corporate lines all the time.

Seb seems chuffed to bits that the Ferrari is genuinely a FAST car now, and Lewis equally chuffed that a) Rosberg was nowhere and b) Ferrari being competitive is only good for his WDC chances.

great race, and lewis did so well with the tyres

Can't help thinking yet again other teams handed the race win to merc

Ferrari were on pace and if not quicker in certain parts of the race

Hopefully this will continue for the rest of the season

Agree with Rosberg but i think thats the merc in general. If its in the pack its not great as it relies so much on clear air to be outright quicker
