Has anyone requested a quote or are we all just guessing?
I got a similarly cheap deal on my DS3 albeit with a slightly larger deposit. Car is a PSA vehicle and of
Similar cost outright so it's not exactly unfeasible.

I'm sick of hearing people I know moaning about being 'skint' when they are strapped up to fuck on loads of new gear living life one pay day at a time..
Brand new car on PCP, new TV on tick, several phone contracts (so they can have the latest phone), sofa on tick, loan for kitchen and bathroom improvements, interest only mortgage, credit cards maxed out with months and months of minimum payments stacked up.
"Oh I'm skint".... No mate you're fucking stupid.
People get strapped up to buy this crap to make them selves happy and just end up being miserable because daily life becomes a struggle and that lovely new car gets run into the ground because there's no money left to run it or it gets parked up because they can't afford the 50p a mile it costs to go over the pitiful mileage limit they could only afford..

80% of all retail deals are a Personal lease of some description. up from c.35% 4 years ago. low interest rate has allowed the growth. is it sustainable? probably - there will always be a deal of some description and people are not precious on product - more price.

Not sure I understand the attraction behind leasing.
Why spend £250 a month leasing when you could spend £250 a month on finance and own the car at the end of it all.
Then even if you sold the car at the end of the term and started again, at least youd have 10k or whatever in your back pocket

a lot of finance deals on new cars, the deposit is the same as the monthly payment. i walk past a few garages on my way for lunch and see the signs every day.

Couple of young guys at work have just financed 2 year old Seat Ibiza FR's. The 1.2 Turbo. £150 a month for 4 years, no balloon payment at the end, warranty, own the car after 4 years.

48 x £150 = £7,200
The book price for a 13 plate 1.2 Ibiza FR is a few quid under £8k...

Also both knew the branch manager and got a sizeable discount.

Unless you have the cash to purchase outright, then HP/PCP are generally more expensive than leasing over the same time frame. Plus you don't have to deal with a depreciating asset that costs you money maintaining if you lease with a warranty and maintenance package.
Obviously you can quite easily get mugged with leasing if you go with the wrong deal but if you do the maths properly then leasing can be a sensible option to driving a new car.
