thinking of booking an uplift day at innerleithn this sunday. although ive got no body armour or a full face helmet so im not too convinced its a good idea. it does look good fun though, although some looks a bit too much for me to ride.

Do you have to dress like a power ranger to do uplift?

Been tempted myself by one, any links to videos?

Oh, sorry Cole, you make it so easy lol..

Sorry I missed your comment .... I only went out once with it on before my bike died!

Video I took is here - this was literally turning it on and shooting. Pretty sure I need to fiddle with the settings to get better picture on fast moving images. For a £100 its decent enough though

WTF did you do there! Picture looks okay to me. I feel a bit pikey with my lidl cam and I'm desperate to fit in with the cool gopro kids. For a hundred knicker it's worth a punt.

Didnt do anything lol. Fault checked the bike before riding as always. Noticed what I thought was cracked paint which was not there last week. Took it to the shop for a safety check and they confirmed it was catastrophic frame failure! Lifetime frame warranty from specialised so I am waiting to hear from them what happens - bike shop sent it back to them today.

Very good avert for regularly fault checking your bike before riding - I was about to go and do a ride with some sections that I have hit 50mph plus recently. Does not bear thinking about what could have happened

What is very good is the go pro helmet strap mount .... the bar mounts get shit reviews and seem to snap a lot- this thing is really solid

I just want something that can take a bigger hit I wanted the float x originally but then saw the inline comes on the new 2015 spectral so looked into that and as its £200ish cheaper than a float x it seemed the best option , either that or the rs monarch rc3+ debonair

The evolution is a terrible shock, basically a massive step backwards from the old base model RP2's and 3's.

Float X is a lovely shock, I had a pushed one on my Bronson, it was great. The Inline is nice, I picked mine up in America for not very much! They are proving popular.

I did look at the float x but its 200ish more than a db inline and 300 more than a debonair

I wouldn't say less is inferior the db inline for adjustability blows most shocks out of the water but think my abilities wont get the most from the shock itself so it would be a waste. Personally fox stuff has gone backwards in some of its products like rick said about the fox ctd evo etc rock shox and X fusion stuff seems to better at the moment

Buy the biggest and if your head rattles about in it wrap a bit of bubble wrap round your scrunt until it fits. Easy!

Or use a tape measure.
