Went for a solo spin round borrowdale today. Got a 9th place cup on a near 1mile descent out of just over 1000 people so well happy with that. I was going easy as well as I was on my own!!

Could anyone help me price a bike i want to sell ?

The bike is a Specialized Big Hit Comp from 2004 in good condition. its been lying around in my garage for a couple of years now. Dusted it down and it actually looks better than my current bike.

any guidance is welcome, i would at least want to see £350 is this possible ?

this is it:- http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/archive/2004/bighit-demo9/04bighitcomp#specs

anyone talk to me about thermal cycling short recommendations? I'm not adverse to the leggings tbh as id wear them under my baggy shorts anyway. after doing a 10 month indoor desk job, I'm a little bit cold weather shy now ffs.

Pussy, I wear bog standard cycling shorts all year round. I do get a few comments from people at work that I'm mad to be cycling in below freezing conditions in shorts though lol.

Soon warm up, or soon go numb so you don't feel it anyway lol. Maybe it's my hairy legs that act as a natural insulation layer.

Kinda got forced off the road tonight. Rode to the local woods for a bit play on the way back a car overtook me really slowly then As it pulled back right in front, it put the brakes on. Caused me to bin it onto the grass which turned out to be a small ditch/trench. Lost my red flashing light off the back. I'm wondering was it the cree head torch blinding them as I don't think it was on purpose. Must have rolled into the ditch about about 2-3mph. Didn't actually fall of the bike as such just came to a stop. Car carried on at its slow pace probably didn't even know what had happened.

Almost 10k ft of climbing this week, will push past that tomorrow. Loving my biking right now, the mud and slop is proving fun and the Nomad is riding great.

riding down the scree from the top of skiddaw down to unlock pike. sadly with the cloud you can't really see how high up we were and how steep some of it was. great fun though. killed my back brakes as you basically have to slide the back down and round.

34t and a new front tyre should make me like my bike a lot more. its brilliant descending things, awkward going up them.

Does anyone know if you can get a freehub body made out of sturdier stuff? I've mullered mine with the 11t cog rounding the hub body grooves off. I'd like to say it's my manly power from my tree trunk legs, but I doubt it.

no jimbo you would need to buy a whole new hub and have it built into your wheel
