Got up at 6am today to sort my rear lights. Armed with a pair of side cutters, an electric drill and a hot glue gun, I took all the old circuit boards off the amber lights and replaced them with the ones from the M3 style ones.

When I got all 6 bits off the ambers I realised I actually only needed to do 2 per side

Anyway, I've just finished and they're on the car.

Can't get a pic yet as its raining but ill try to grab one later.

Very nice, Robin.

The white seems to make the car appear younger. Probably gives it a decent sell on value also, with white being so in demand currently.

Yeah, hopefully it won't lose value!

There was a Santorini blue one for sale a couple of weeks after I bought this, for similar money. I would have bought that I reckon even though it had TC instead of an LSD.

Bored now, considering selling.

Took it for a big long drive the other night and it just didn't make me overly excited.

Went to BMW Festival at Gaydon yesterday. Took the BMW (obviously). Got there and got directed away from the main gate to a car park about half a mile up the road.

Got the shuttle bus into the show and it was half empty

The car park we were in had more E30 M3s in it than the show.

So, won't be bothering with that one again!

Anyway, the wife has decided that she wants to spend all the money we have saved for an anniversary holiday on making the car better (I married the right one here...)

Booked a track day for November, Cadwell Park, so I need to sort a few bits before that, brakes are shocking, think I have an ABS issue, need to do the suspension too as its a bit wallowy, then I need to get some tyres for some other wheels as use it!

Had to do some ghetto arch rolling in the car park at Gaydon too, using a breaker bar, some rag and a jack handle

You could end up putting a few grand into this, not saying its not worth it, but its reminding me of the corrado, although i stuck with it and can't back out now.

I bet you see quite a lot of similar aged BMWs that are much nicer and make yours look a bit dated and remind you its not an M3.

One of the main reasons i keep loving the corrado is the fact i don't see any about and its not like someone drives past in a higher spec model.

The only time is seen another E36 on the road (other than at the show yesterday) is last week and it was a red 318 saloon with a primer grey front wing.

I just don't see them.

If I bought an M3, I wouldn't want to use it on track as its twice as much money to start with and would still need the same bits this does.

I can afford to lose £2k if I bend it on a track day, I can't afford to lose 4 or 5!

Yep, £30 it cost me, plus fuel, plus £20 for 2 drinks, a burger and a hotdog. There was a wasp pandemic and the museum was pants. I counted 8 trade stands and they had some sort of weird folk band playing.

BMWCarClubGB must be laughing their way to the bank!

It was ridiculous. I ate half of my £7 burnt single cheeseburger as it had 5 wasps on it by that point. Wherever there was a crowd, there was a load of the little yellow and black bastards.

Pretty much my justification for the 328 over the m3 too
the 330 brakes are a great upgrade, what pads are you planning on using?
