No real surprise, he's not good enough for the premier league.

Only player at the Emirates who won a trophy last year though

Bvb were sniffing around kagawa according to Klopp. Kagawa said he wants to prevail at united, case closed. I think he will have a big season for united, he's a very talented footballer.

If Rooney were to leave it could be the making of Kagawa. We definitely need to use him more this season and in the right position

agreed, he hasn't had a real chance to prove himself. Behind RVP he looks an absolute menace. Can pick a pass, brilliant first touch and can score.

If he gets played in the right position just behind the forwards then he can be a big player for United. They don't need Cesc if they play him right, and they need to use the money getting a good defensive midfielder!
Edit: Basically, they just need to buy Fellaini before someone else does

Whats even more hilarious is spurs trying to pretend that they are hard pushed to sell him at that price, and that its touch and go if that's even too little.

Of course we all think Spurs should sell him for that much.

But from Levy's point of view. He knows he needs Bale to have a chance of being in the champions league next year. Even with 85m they'll struggle to bring in top quality as their not currently in the Champs league. Its a vicious circle.

I'm guessing that he'd rather take a higher chance of CL football and say 40m from Bale next year than the 85m now....

Or he could just be holding out for more money.

It's conjecture to say they'd need Bale to have a chance at the Champions League. If he has faith in AVB then giving him the £85 million to spend should see Bale's goals replaced as well as strengthening other areas with proper world class players.

People are seriously over-estimating his worth to Spurs. He is world class, no doubt, but one look at the stats tells you despite his ability it doesn't convert into a goals and assists figure which makes him worth anything like what Ronaldo was.

My point was more that "proper world class players" won't go there if they're not in the champions league though - whereas at least they have one at the moment. (Unless they pay them fortunes a la Monaco, which they won't)

They have more chance of reaching the CL next season with Bale than without him.

They should sell, theres no guarantee bale will do it again next season, we haven't seen that level consistently enough. What happens if he doesn't quite have the impact next season? his value will plummet, 20/30/40m. Spurs wont have cl nor will they have 85m.

I also think they will probably not get cl even if bale does maintain form. They didn't do it last season with bale in the form of his life.
