Had a couple of hours this afternoon so got over and whipped the old dash out

Which attacked me, wouldn't stop bleeding

Still need to remove heater matrix completely to measure up for new dash but put it in place to see what it'll look like..

Reckon it's gonna look the nuts once its finished and flocked

Got some wires to tidy up though gonna chop out everything I don't need which is quite a bit lol. That's a job for the weekend though.

Also decided to sell the Monaco pros and get something a bit lighter, which will be in the for sale section shortly along with the dash.

I took my matrix out aswell, if your engine isnt out then its a bit of a nightmare, as theres a screw from the engine bay side that holds the plastic. I found smashing out all the plastic at the bottom easiest just to let you know Also the heater matrix pipes i tryed to connect them in the car and they just leaked and that was with plumber fixings. best to trace it back into the bay and getting a Water Bar that dosent have the outlets

Thats good then, be easier. Youll also have a hole under your Skuttle panel from the Ducting. Also youll get to the water bar best probably from underneath the car

Not done a lot this weekend, been quite busy with other stuff but did get over and remove the heater matrix so I can measure up the dash..

Anyone know what these plugs/wires are for?

This is in the same loom as pink plug but already cut :-/

And this one..

Now that the matrix was out, I did a bit of cad (cardboard aided design) on the dash

Got it home and started on the fibreglass..

Still needs a fair bit of work but its getting there. Purchased a few more bits for the dash also..

The gauge pod will be mounted like this on the fibre glassed side panel, housing stack oil temp and pressure gauges (which should be here along with stack fuel level gauge hopefully tomoz)

Also did a bit more on the instrument panel..

All holes cut out

And a teaser with 2 gauges in

Will hopefully get the dash completely finished this week to send off for flocking.

And some seats I've bought and picking up on Saturday morning

Have also taken the early crank I got at the beginning of the week into an engineer to fully lighten and balance and knife edge as much as he can before it can't be balanced anymore, need to drop my sbd flywheel and clutch cover to them at some point tomoz to balance the lot up together.

All the wiring is now sorted, well sort of, cheers guys.

Been mega busy recently so not done much over the last couple of weeks, last weekend was taken up by driving to Birmingham to collect my new seats, which I'm mega mega happy with, super light and even more comfy!!

Shit photos but you get the idea

Did however get over the garage today and yesterday to get a bit done ready for some welding at the end of this week, first off was to drill through all the spot welds on the existing seat rails, what an arse of a job that was, also wanted to remove the wheel well, got some other bits done also..

Before

After

Also got the remaining sound deadening out from the front wells that I didn't do last year

Scrap pile

Also got the whiteline arb fitted..

And a couple more purchases I had to get in order to get my new bottom end fully balanced.

Helix competition clutch cover and arp flywheel bolts, which is all actually ready to be collected from the engineers.

Also ordered my pistons and conrods from steveboyslim this week so should have them within next few weeks.

That is all.
