Is that AFM the same as an XE one? - As it looks it in the video

If so pay postage and you can have the spare I have sat in the shed.

Removed icv

Fitted new one, what a cunt of a job that was :@

Meanwhile my new afm turned up.
Any test much now and getting bit late so can try tomorrow.

Quick test and it started up straight away with new afm on, wiped codes and Eml come back on for afm again?

Idle seems very erratic from 1k to 1.5k revs, pretty much constantly up and down.

I know haha, rest are now home, and load of neighbours are too.

Since car is parked between two houses, it echoes really loud on top of usual noise from 3" bore. I don't want topics neighbour off as its shared space between the two houses as well.. It's only a bit wider than the car..

This is my next test tomorrow, I'm sure it was checked few months ago, but so many things have been done/changed I've forgotten a lot. Quite few it's of this loom have been extended and chopped/changed I have also put down deposit on a new loom to buy on payday. To eliminate something else.

Was the afm new? Aftermarket? Check voltage at plug to see if it is getting the correct feed or not

Why not go brand new? Second hand always brings zero guarantees. AFMs don't always throw codes IME

Sounds a lot like my problem when I had the a break in the wiring to the TPS.

Whats the general condition of your loom? The two I had one was mint in terms of the wires still looked fresh under the tape but the other one generally looked rubbish with cracks/wires looked a bit perished

General condition is good, was supplied by SBS, and all looked fresh, no butchered wire etc, looked great. Lot of stuff was extended tough with wire tucking etc

Always offering my help if you want to check the AFM and that not switching off with the key issue.

I'd probs be inclined to chop the AFM wiring and replace those poor soldered joints if they are still there

Surely a new AFM isn't £500+, did you ever try a GM temp sensor?

Well bit news on the car.....

Just started car from cold, started first turn of the key all perfect!!!!!!

Idle and wide band was perfect too... Then as it got warm the revs started going up and down again (so lambda sensor?)

Then battery light started glowing a bit?

well battery light would say it's not charging properly!

Should have put a volt meter on battery see what reading it gave.

Think I may know why this is, an eyelet broke off when was showing icv back in. And that eyelet went to the live junction box, so hopefully it's that. I pushed back on just so could test
