as long as it is earthed somewhere, it won't matter where its earthed.

I don't really have the time atm, but could try and make some time to pop down and have a look at it again if you'd like?

Yer u should have a big earth strap between any of the gearbox bolts and the chassis somewhere. Mine looks almost like a battery lead but about 6" long.

I love the front end by the way it looks mean!

When I only had one earth my starter used to throw a fit, then noticed the gearbox one was mission,
Sure there's like a stud that holds the casing together that has a threaded stud on top so you can stick an earth on it.

If your wondering if its the earth get a jump lead, clip one end onto the gearbox somewhere and the other end on the body somewhere clean without rust/paint (to suspension top mount nuts?) and try it then.

Done a bit this evening.

Changed all injectors, car now fires every single time, but cuts out straight away. As it gets warmer like before it stays running for longer. I have every confidence I could drive it now, by holding throttle like I did before to it. But it's off road and SORN now.
Will upload a video if codes in a sec, one code appears just constant flashing :/ weird

I don't mean this in a cunt of a way but have you thought about taking it to a mechanic? Like beardy for example or someone like that.

The thing is, a mechanic, of any kind, even beardy (although to get it to him wouldn't be worth the cost!), would mean a lot of time, and thus money, to even get to the starting point that Mark, or those that have worked on it, are.

I do believe its a simple fault left now, the ICV is a unknown one, and could in theory cause the problem Mark is having. I think hes going to change this when he gets chance, Crank sensor is being changed for a new one for peice of mind anyway, Not that this is causing his problem.

Ign switch could possiblily the cause of the running on, but for the mean time, getting it running reliable is the best thing.

Once its running better, can idle when cold and is able to drive, I'd like to redo certain parts of the wiring, and make the diagnostic plug work as it should.

Just changed crank sensor and its the same as before (as expected) was mis firing, but would keep alive if I held throttle down. And then start straight back up. Blue smoke out the back and wouldn't rev up at all. No EML light on. Next up to try is ICV I think.

Old

Different designs

Old one didn't have an I ring around it when I looked few weeks ago was some sealant that kind of broke away in my hand, so had nothing on it and was understandably oily.

No EML on

Seems to be just as slowly ets warmer. Not tried icv have tried CTS. Just trying to get to bottom of it. Everybody suggests same sensor so I replace it, doesn't work. They all then read each others comments and suggest same sensor, then same happens
