Iv had a dodgey GM thermostat & temp sensor from autovaux,maybe worth trying a second hand one that you know works if possible.

I've tried two brand new cts now, chances of them
Both being faulty is very unlikely

Temp sensor from autovaux sent my xe haywire too, caused all sorts of problems

I got a cts for my M3 from GSF and it got stuck on the red permanently from cold. Changed for a proper bm item and worked fine. I wouldn't trust electronic sensors from anyone else other than manufacturer or same part maker as the oem unit.

As jambo said. I only buy genuine sensors. No point in buying cheap sensors as they just break and you get laughed off from the motor factors you got them from. Ring vauxhall and get a proper one.

Confirmed that my tps is faulty, so that's next thing to try.
I'm also pretty sure my afm also
Is faulty... Fkin sensors

I'm not sure how the Vx afm are constructed, but are they cleanable? Access to the element?

I don't know of anybody around here with one tbh. Going to have to buy new.

I could buy second hand, but if still faulty I won't know if I've been sold bad one, or if I can cross it off the list

Compared to buying a new one...yes.

I have cleaned mine frequently to remove oil and dust build up from a cotton air filter.
It works much better after every clean and has in no way damaged it.

What do you use to clean it mate. High changes mine is very oily due to huge oil leak on way to Lemass covering and soaking air filter compleltly

So I have a week off, and probably last decent time before trax that I can work on it, and if like to make one show this year...

Here's what is does FROM cold with everything connected

Then if I unplug MAF and start it, it runs for a lot longer, and after 3rd time of starting ist will run permanently and perfectly. If I plug MAF in at this point, this happens

I used to clean mine using a cotton bud and nail varnish remover

Worked a treat though
