First time I've seen GAZ coilovers with helper springs.

What spring rates did you go for, front/back?

Right still collecting bits for the big winter maintence build lol.

Firstly i bought this airdam splitter off SeanXE on here so thanks for that pal, think im going to make it removable so i can get on the trailer etc.

Then i bought this rear disc conversion kit off ebay, some thing ive been wanting to do for a while now.

Oh and a shite loads more bits as seen below

Front discs machined to take out warp (wobbly under braking)
New rear drilled and grooved discs and mintex pads.
Wilwood bleed nipple pack for my front 4 pots (1 had snapped off)
Wilwood high temperature brake fluid
plastic speedo ring (to fit onto new diff)
New diff bearings
2 new motorsport conversion hubs
2 new wheel bearings
2 new outer cv joints
Pair of new track rod ends
Pair of new ball joints
4 x Vauxhall oil filters

A fair few bits lol, still more to come

Some very nice bits going into it, as for rear spring rates it all depends how you like it to feel on the limit, I personally prefer a bit of over steer at the limit so have thicker anti roll bar and will be changing up to 300lb springs

Agree 100% with this don't use cheap ball joins and shit conversion hubs... They will just sheer off..... Do it properly with non machined big block hubs and machine the knuckle to take golf bearings alot safer!!

as for the ball joints , i bought a set of the cheap ones and changed them to gen vauxhall ones , think they were about £120 for them but you can also get hh ones

HH lower ball joints won't fit with big block CV's unless you use HH knuckles, They have a larger gap from the wheel bearing edge the the lower ball joint hole to enable use of a threaded nut!! I use comp brake lower ball joints which are here... Only for early setup tho which means changing lower arms and TCA's

http://www.compbrake.co.uk/Suspension-Acc-39-s/Wishbones-TCA-S-Compression-strut/Vauxhall-Tigra-MK1-08/94-05/97-Uniballs-Suspension-Ball-Joint-Front-PAIR/prod_615.html

My broken ball joint next to the uniball ball joint (which are rebuild able + rose jointed)

After talking to compbrake about what i used the car for and Harry Hockley versions they said i could use there "Rally Version" making it still a fair bit cheaper than HH version

As you can see it has the extra thread + nut

Clearance and the reason the threaded ones won't fit

As for Knuckles link is where Ron said there is about it in my thread...... HH do machining too look on there website! Heres a quick comparison

Conversion hub

Standard big block hub

The bearings I used are rear 1988 mk2 golf synchro which are OD 68mm, ID 39mm and W 37mm, they cost me a whole £14 each iirc

Sorry about the long post
