To be honest I can't remember how big a halo/flare I had with lights at night anyway. That said, if you're getting it done, I don't see any point in taking anything but the premium treatment...

I'll never forget the moment when I sat up in the operating room after the procedure, and the nurse pointed at a clock on the wall and asked "what time is it?". Then the healing process kicked in and I couldn't read a monitor for a few days

I've sorted out having more time off with work.

Got the tomorrow and Tuesday off then if I need more time I just take it and how ever much time I take in total they'll do half of it as holiday and half as sick leave. Which is good as I was expecting it to all have to be out my holiday leave.

Will update you on how its gone once I can look at my laptop screen again

I'm back

It went well, my sight is already better than driving standard and improving all the time.

When to the clinic at 5pm on Monday and was having the surgery at 5:20, was in the recovery room by 5:35! Its pretty horrible when having it done, not painful just really really strange, glad its over!

Feel fine now. I could see as soon as I sat up from the operating table very blurred but thats normal.

Very pleased, got today off work and this is the 1st time I've looked at a computer screen since I've had it done. Might be back at work tomorrow.

Spent a few hours in London on the way back from Maidstone yesterday doing a bit of sight seeing and went on the London Eye.

They said before I had it done that there was a 15% chance I would have to have it redone in 6 months to take the last bit of prescription out because I have such a high one to start with. Compared to a 5% chance for people with weaker prescriptions.

Just have to get on with it and have it done if it needs it, hopefully they wont. Its only the first few hours after that your eyes sting a bit, went to sleep and woke up the next day feeling fine.

I was absolutely shitting my pants when I was about to have it done

All the staff at the clinic were brilliant, very friendly and reassuring! Cant fault them!

Only thing I would change is I would want to be knocked out for the surgery but they cant do that.

Its seriously weird and a bit horrid being awake whilst this surgeon is messing around in your eyes even if you cant really feel it
