Sorry if my posts sound a bit harsh mate but i'm just telling you how it is

As nice as Ultralase are they will tell you all the things you wanna hear but not much you don't.Take a week off and just chill..FFS it's your only set of eyes and your spending 4K on them (like me) so take it really seriously.

I'll have to see if I can sort it with work. Guess they'll have to let me cos I'm not gonna be much good at work by the sound of it

It's classed as surgery mate so they have to let you have the time off

No such thing as a free deal fella. YOU are paying for it. Your eyesight may be crap at present but don't let them insult your mind aswell!

2 pages and no little_duke comments....I'm impressed

I'm tempted to have this done, would be worth it in the long run as my frames alone cost me £300.then with my prescription,my lenses work out £189 after all the options i need...

This thread has been a good read,i think every question i was going to ask has been asked...cheers corsa nut

Of course I am of a fashion but I'm not paying any extra to cover the travelling, it'd cost me the same whether I went to Manchester or Maidstone to have it done. They'll still be making plenty of money out of it

They've certainly not brought their prices down eh. I had Ultralase's top treatment about 3 years ago (still included wavefront night vision enhancement, iris recognition, etc back then).

I was -3.50 in both eyes with a slight astigmatism, thin corneas, and neovascular growth from my abuse of contacts for 5 years.

Best thing I ever did -- can't remember what it was like to wake up and not be able to see...

I have thick corneas which is lucky with my prescription being as bad as it is.

Got train tickets and hotel sorted today. Hilton Maidstone, looks alright, better than a travelodge anyway

as i always say

FUCK

THAT

until its ONE HUNDRED PERCENT safe its far too much of a risk for me, let alone handing voer £4k for the privilege! The only timew it bothers me is sun shining when driving if have glasses on (but plan to get some presciption sunnies soon) and also when u first wake up, esp if have a lady over or wanna watch telly in bed, otherwise im fine with glasses and contacts

ps mwg bet u wear chunky glasses

I wear contact lenses

I do have glasses that I very very rarely wear but they are quite small so the lenses aren't as thick as they would be with a larger set of glasses. Still pretty thick though!
