Yeah, its out but is only a beta and has problems so I wouldn't risk it just yet.

For some ghey reason, I can't jailbreak my 3GS with RedSn0w.
It goes thru it all but when the phone reboots, I'm not sure if its actually jailbroken and Cydia doesn't work. The icon isn't quite there, tis just a blank icon and it won't open but says Cydia below it.

Whats the best way to jailbreak an iphone 4 with 4.2.1? Also with jailbreaking, do you have to re-sync it to your pc afterwards or does it overlay what is already on the phone? Just because im at the missus house and my phone is linked to my imac

Not 100% sure but I don't think you have to sync it to iTunes after.

from what I can find on the internet there isnt much jailbreaks out for 4.2.1 yet.

also does anyone know if you can go back to using an older software? 4.2.1 was on my phone when i got it but as i say there isnt many jailbreaks out for it yet.

or am i better just waiting till a better jailbreak comes out for 4.21?

sorry for all the questions, im totally clueless when it comes to this stuff

Iv only done ipads on 4.2.1 and it's not quite as simple as this I'm not convinced the the jailbroke fw is fully stable, iv now seen 2 get stuck in recovery mode the first one an attempt had been made to restore it in iTunes, that really took some messing about with to fix.

As for iPhones iv done a few on 4.1 with limera1n and had no issues with any, been using a 3GS jb with limerain myself with loads of cydia tweaks to the os for couple of months and it'd been perfect.

If you have an iPhone that you rely on running 4.2.1 I'd wait for a new jb.

It goes thru it all but when the phone reboots, I'm not sure if its actually jailbroken and Cydia doesn't work. The icon isn't quite there, tis just a blank icon and it won't open but says Cydia below it.

Once you've jailbroken it and installed Cydia you need to jailbreak it again, but this time only tick the tether option. Once it reboots with the pineapple logo you will be able to use shitty Cydia

Tried it, Cydia still did the same thing.
I'm waiting for a stable untethered jailbreak now.
