I have a mate who works in a friendly bodyshop who let me and another mate prep the car in their unit, then the mate who works in the bodyshop painted it for me.

Little bit of progress made.

Exhaust is now fitted, I had to weld the slats on the S/S centre pipe and flare out the conversion pipe to enable them to slide together.

The Corsa knuckles have now been enlarged, I've fitted the Golf bearings and Astra hubs to the knuckles and given them a quick spruce up.

Last week I spotted the Rieger bumper i'd been looking out for on here.
I'm now in the process of repairing the few damaged areas.

The last few weeks have been pretty shite really. First off one of the track rod ends seized onto the tie rod, As I was changing the rod ends it became a problem. In the end I replaced the tie rod on one side.

Since then the front end has had quite a bit of work done to it.
The following has been done:
Enlarged knuckles with golf bearings and Astra hubs.
Equal length driveshaft fitted and N/S shaft cut down to fit.
288mm Calipers with new GM discs and pads and goodridge lines.
New track rod ends and lower arms and balljoints.
Spax RSX coilovers fitted.

I've finally got it back on all 4 wheels after spacing the front wheels.

Last week I managed to lock the keys in the car and ended up drilling the door lock out
I've just chnaged the locks for a different set.
Also had a right job getting the old wheel off without a small enough puller. I had to resort to pouring boiling water onto the splines and losing my temper with it

I've delocked the passenger side and boot so wanted 1 exterior lock just incase of central locking dying on me.
I had that happen on my de-handled Astra, That was fun to get in to.

I had to cut out a few bits where the bumper was cracked to strengthen it and get it back to original.

Hi Greg. Not sure yet bud, Will see if I prefer the Rieger one when it's painted. If the Reiger bumper is fitted then the GSi one will be sold.

Not much to see really, Engine is running sweet. As it'd been stood for 3 years it tapped like a good un for 10 mins. now it's spot on. I have a slight rattle once everything warms up which I think is the cam belt, That will be sorted soon.

A few recent pics.

Well I was hoping before Christmas but a few things have put a stop to that.
Firstly it is freezing and I cant be arsed doing much in this weather.
Secondly is money, It'll Cost about £400 to get on the road with the cost of Insurance, tax and MOT so I'm now aiming for February. I've got a week off work at the end of January so should be able to sort all the niggly bits out.

I'm having a right ballache trying to fit the ECU in the footwell

Yup the EPAS ECU is in the footwell but looking at it even without the EPAS ECU the normal ECU would struggle to fit. Shame we've put wiring into footwell then isn't
Might have to put it under the scuttle panel and find a way to keep it dry.
