Really cba with general comments like ps3 is better, xbox is better, steve is gay, john is gay etc etc etc etc
Getting a tv in the next month or so, and a games console, but wanted to know which one to get?
I've had a 360 in the past, and i've also had a ps3, im thinking the xbox elite, but the ps3 because of the blue ray player?

360 - More games avaliable at the moment.
PS3 - Less games but more scope to be a far superior machine in the future IMO.
Not much difference in the 2 at the moment bar the blu ray player imo.
PS3 will be one for the future.

Xbox died when my brother borrwed it, and sold the ps3 because i needed money at the time

Not through lack of use then.....
I've not had either but would probably go 360. Much cheaper and more available for it now. If the PS3 wasn't quite so expensive I'd have that but the cost puts me right off.

Xbox simply as the games are better at the mo and the price is reasonable.
Wont the elite have modded heatsinks already to reduce\get rid of the problems?

If you want a blu ray player and like ps3 games buy a ps3.
If you want an hd-dvd player possibly as an add on and like the games the 360 has out atm then buy a 360.
It's a bit of a stupid question now imo.
The consoles have as good as the same graphics/power.
The differences are built in high def player and wireless.
Base the decision on either that or the games imo.

I would say the Elite.
You have to think to yourself if you are ever going to buy blue ray DVD's?
Do you buy normal DVDs at the moment? Bear in mind blueray ones are double the price of those!
