Like many others i'm not getting a PS3 as it does nothing more than a 360, and i'm happy with my 360. If it were amazing, like it shoudlve been, i'd of got one.

much easier for super-scaling architecture for one. and the PS3 has trump cards over the XBOX3Shitty, and vice cersa. THe equivelent PS3 of xbox live absolutely craps on it from a great height apparently. It also has twice the raw processing power, which will be learnt to be used in the coming months and years

The main processor can access all the machine's video memory, but each of the seven SPE chips has access only to its own 256k of onboard memory - so if you have, say, a big mesh to process, it'll be necessary to stream it through a small amount of memory - you'd have to DMA it up to your cell chip and then process a little chunk, then DMA the next chunk, so you won't be able to jump around the memory as easily, which you will be able to do on the Xbox 360

but how fast will this 256k of on-die memory be, and the bandwidth between the on-die and VRAM?? thats the key...
