Managed to get all of the problems with my car cutting out etc sorted but there is one niggle that still remains.
This is that it is idling low (at about 900rpm) this does not relly effect the way it drives but its just annoying as it doent feel comftable and is noisy as it makes some of the interior rattle

is there anything i can do to adjust it?

upon re looking at the dials mine is more like 600-700 as i wasent really looking before and assumed that there was 10 marks but there isnt

might give the ICV a clean etc to see if i can get it to sit better. Is the ICV the same thing as the idle control motor as this is the only thing that i can see on my car and in the haynes manuel.

You can't adjust the idle speed. It's preset in the ECU. Your car is idling normally.

what is the correct idle level on a 1.2 lads while we are on the subject, mine is always at 1000 to 1100 when cold start and 700 to 800 on warm! is that about right?

Thats right, it idles faster when it is cold, it's almost like having a choke on a carbed engine.

It should idle below the 1000 mark. Rev counters aren't exactly accurate instruments so it's hard to say whats right, but around 700-800 is the norm.

Il give the ICV a clean anyway. Is it essential to replace the rubber o ring?
