My gear linkage needing adjusting the other day after a drive home from work i only had 3rd 4th and 5th gears.
Its sorted now, i just wondered if anyone knows why it happens?
As people have said that it is a common feature on the corsa C's

gear linkage itself sometimes becomes worn on the links, causing lack of or no gears, if it does it again, u'll need a new one, v.common

yes, do lots of these at work, theres a modified one from vauxhall,

wots the benefits of one of them then? just last longer than the standard one?

yea, ive done about 5 in the last 3 months. im sure c's before a certain year had the unmodified one and the later ones had them fitted at the factory. not entirely sure but im sure this is the case

oh rite, well mine is 2001, 51 plate, so is an early corsa C, so doubt it will have the modified one then will it

nah probly not, happens on all corsa c's, whether its a y reg or an 05 plate, its just a manufacturing defect on the links on the gear linkage. we supply a 'repair kit' from work, about £18.00 +vat. its basically just a new linkage!!!

sound, thats alright then for that price, might be coming down your way to buy one then mate if i have anymore problems, coz ur not too far from me
