at the end of the day your the one thats spent all the money on the car, you know whats been replaced and what needs replacing but if you buy another car you dont know the history of it.

ive seen 1.6's on ebay for £300 its probably worth getting one of those and putting it in. or get a conversion

just popped over to garage. the part that has broken off the old plug is believed to have been what has hit the spark plug and bent it. also think it may have bent a couple valves causing lack of compression. i am going to tow car home and get the engine out. take it down to garage for them to strip and try to find the part and should have it running sweet fingers crossed, just money i dont have at moment. will just need to work harder i guess

well had another nerve racking journey getting towed home last night, bat was near enough flat, had no heaters and was 8 feet behind a discovery
got it home last night and have everything disconnected. picked up an engine hoist this morning so should be out again tonight

well hopefully, thought that when i got it towed to the garage last week but pretty confident after this it should be running good. Michael said it sounded as if it was running really well when it did go

just need to get an exhaust manifold then get it chipped, thats the plan for after xmas anyway
