right, went to turn my ignition on the other day and found that the display above my sterring wheel and my cd didn't light up, checked the fuses and found the number 17 fuse had blown and it keeps blowing, according to the haynes manual this only runs the intrument panel, mfd and cd player, i disconnected all of these and still it blows, any ideas???

sounds to me like a wire somewhere is bridging itself onto another circuit. Will be hard to trace unless you dont know wot ur doing! I personally would get an ammetter and check all the connections for the items you have disconnected to see if there is any signs of life on the wires. if their is even though there is no fuse in place then summuts shorting out the circuit on that wire
