get a linksys router! plug you ntl cable in to the back of that! then put that box next to your pc and hard wire your pc into that! then get yourself a wireless network card for your pc!

Check www.linksys.com for router and card! If you need to know what model, give me a shout and i'll check mine!

I can access the internet on my pc which is in the car when i'm parked outside my house! Bit shit when u drive off, but good for copying mp3's!

If your laptop has got a network port in it and so has your pc, then your cheapest option is to get a crossover cable. Get it from pc world (9.99) and then setup a workgroup on ur machines. You can also share your internet connection through this aswell.
Wireless is good, just depends how much money you want to spend.

They dont have to be the same, the router will act as a wireless card for the PC. 9.99 for a xover cable! Ill make you one for free if you pay the postage.

If you have nothing else, you need 2 wireless or 2 wired network cards.
This is the cheapest option, but your main computer will need to be on for the laptop to be able to use the internet.
If you buy a wireless router, you will need wireless cards in both, but the laptop can use the internet without the other computer being on.
Same if you buy a wired router.

All the wireless routers I have seen also have ethernet ports on too, so you could network the PC that way..you wouldnt have to have a wireless card in the PC.
