you can jus use a cross over cable and 2 network cards if u want, or you could go the wireless way | |

All the wireless routers I have seen also have ethernet ports on too, so you could network the PC that way..you wouldnt have to have a wireless card in the PC. | |

If you have nothing else, you need 2 wireless or 2 wired network cards. | |

They dont have to be the same, the router will act as a wireless card for the PC. £9.99 for a xover cable! Ill make you one for free if you pay the postage. | |

Thank you to every one but what martynbez said about hard wiring the pc i was told i can not do either i was both wired or both wireless. I wanted to make the laptop wireless Thanks again Lee:) | |

If your laptop has got a network port in it and so has your pc, then your cheapest option is to get a crossover cable. Get it from pc world (£9.99) and then setup a workgroup on ur machines. You can also share your internet connection through this aswell. | |

i have just ordered two wireless networking cards for my two laptops, i have been told this is all i will need is that right ? this may also answer ur question if sum1 replies leeshez :thumbs: | |

get a linksys router! plug you ntl cable in to the back of that! then put that box next to your pc and hard wire your pc into that! then get yourself a wireless network card for your pc! | |

What do i need to network my laptop to my pc? Some say i need a wireless network card in both but some say you only need wireless in laptop and wierd in pc. can any one tell me what i need. |
