Hey, im new to this site, and run a cruising site of my own.

I have a corsa B 1.4 SRi (8V) and am looking to drop a C20LET and F28 in possibly with the conversion kit from PVD, but i was wondering on a few things

1) Where can i get the engine and box?
2) What brake mods do i need to do?
3) I have Spax RSX Coilovers on front, but the kit has seperate springs and shocks at the back, do i need to change the suspension??

Is there anything else i have missed??

u can pick the engine and box's up easy enough, check on migweb in the clasifieds

brakes, id go for a 288mm V6 conversion, can get em new for £195

and the suspension will be ok, maybe look at getting some higher poundage springs

dont buy the brake conversion kit, just get some v6 calipers and some fiat coupe 2.0 20v disks. costs about 100 instead of 200

1/ buy private or look on vauxhall websites for the 'for sale' sections
2/ turbo groovediscs will be ok for the front brakes
3/ should be alright, standard suspensions hold quite well, so i cant see a prob with these

at the moment the going rate seems to be
1000quid for the engine
200-300 for gearbox depending on the box used eg. f28 6speed or f20 5speed

yes and most the f28's range between 200 and 300 quid from my experience, get to a scrappy and find some cally's and cavs with the gearboxes left in.

conversion kit for f28 is pricey.

IMO stick with the F20 as if it goes wrong they are cheap to replace. F28s are not.

f20 is on mine, less complicated to fit in normal bay. but i suppose if you want to be orthodox, get the f28 and maybe shift the bulk head back half a foot? worth a try mate
