I don't see what the problem is with the XEV - they are basically the same engine except the Ecotec has all the emissions crap!

Just wondered if it would get round the power sapping ecotec problem?
The 2.0 8v is what the C20LET was developed on (i think) so you could whack the 16v head from a C20LET onto a 2.0 8v auto and end up with some kind of bastard engine that will rev nicely like the C20LET.
But I'm probably making things way too difficult! I think 136BHP in a corsa is more than enough!

I think I'm just going to be quiet now and pretend none of this ever happened.

Although theres more room in an Astra, you could wedge an auto V6 in there.

Well I know of at least 2 mk3 Astra's that have a V6 lump, but they are both manual. Not sure how one with an auto box would fit in!
