looks like a lot of work in the haynes manual, including taking off the wheel arch trim??? and loosening the bumper

is it worth doing this as soon as i can or just when i go to change my damaged bonnet?

Why are you people even TOUCHING the bumpers??

On the facelift Corsa, I just undo the screws holding the light unit and pull it away from the car.

2 mins max to unclip all the wiring, 1 min max to undo the light, 1 min to pull it away from the car.

Both headlamps can be swapped over in 10-15 minutes without going near the bumper.

mine is pre facelift but that shouldnt make a difference surely will have a crack on friday then. only thing that worried me particularly was that haynes manual says upon removing the nut under the arch to change the nut...

Absolutely no need to remove bumper if its a post97 corsa. I didnt, as Joff said it takes literally 15mins. Only bugger is reconnecting wires on the passeneger side light, if youve got arms like ET it'll be easier.

Difficulty out of 10 = 1

I dont think you can, the electric adjustment is an integral part of the light.

The electronic adjuster is a little black unit that pops out of your old light unit then straight into your new one. It may not feel like it'll come out but you just gotta be forceful.

Or at least it did on my sport.

on my 95 corsa - i had to remove the bolt thru the front bumper to the wheel trim and then a couple undoing the bolt from the wheel arch.

Then remove the 2 bolts (7mm) from the engine bay and pull the bumper down

i had to told the bumper down with my knee while i removed the headlight unit, if you want remove a few more bolts which aint hard but once the bumper is out the way it takes 5 mins mate.

job done

only bitch is getting the bolt thru the front bumper and the wheel arch and trim all in one - got my mum's boyfriend to push the front bumper back while i moved screw into place.
