Having a few problems with my corsa. the engine is giving a whining sound in normal driving, after reading some of the posts it sound similar to the alternator problem. I took the car to back to perrys under warranty so they could sort it, but could not find a problem, even after taking the mechanic out for a drive and letting him hear the sound, he said it was normal and was the belt and couldent see a problem, therefore they charged me £60 cause no fault found (tossers!) - bout 2 hours after the electrical fault light stayed came on while drivng the car, i took it straight back, they read the ECU and cam up with a throttle problem, but the car worked ok when he tested it.
Sorry for it been a bit long winded but i jus wanna know could be sommet wrong with the car and if perrys are been tits for not addmitting theres a fault.
cheers, it a 54 plate corsa SRi 1.8

well if the em light is on,you have a fault with a sensor,so the best thing to do would be to take it to a garage find out what sensor is nakered and get it changed, the whining noise will be the belt ,doubt it would have anything to do with the throttle,my corsa whines like that to so I used belt slip lasts for a while but then itll come back just one of those things
