right then after fitting my fronts they worked well for a while .... but after about 10 minutes drive they just cut out .... silence... checked HU yeah working fine but no sound from any speakers front (sony) or rear (standard) so im thinking maybe there is a loos connection or break in the wire?
took trim off tonight checked connections and wire but couldn't see anything wrong  so dunno what to do i guess i need to strip the dash out and check wiring?

are they shorting out touching the metal in the door or something like that

i had a quick check but didn't notice they are sittin in the audioleads adapters tho so i doubt they will be touching, might try some insulation tape or sumt to make sure no bare door metal is on the speaker cant think of what else it could be as the hu works perfect but no sound no buzzing no crackle from speakers ?

ok mate just make sure theres not bare wires about in the doors etc then that eliminates that possibility i know this as a friend has this problem and hits his door card everytime they cut out

tell your mate to sort it out, lol even if he wraps some insulation tape around it, because he will end up killing his HU or maybe even frying his loom LoL,
Danny, as said before tho, cover any bare metal on the terminals with insulation tape and try again,
