GET IN Lewis That lap was ace and even his 2nd run was enough for pole in the end!

Right, Mclaren, tell button to ram into alonso at the start and let Lewis cruise to victory

i'm man enough to admit he's proved me wrong.

mclaren have seriously upped their game this second half of the season, and it's great to see lewis hunting alonso down.

no one will touch him in the race if it wasn't a street circuit. the likelyhood of a safety car tomorrow is massive so that's his only worry.

Aye agreed but I reckon so long as hes leading after the first lap he should be ok, barring any pit/reliability issues. Could do with Maldonado getting inbetween Vettel and lewis, even better if button could get infront of Vettel because he'd hold up the pack and let Lewis just focus on Pastor.

Do what I do Jamie, avoid all websites/news programs ans watch it back on iPlayer "as live". Had to avoid Twitter and Facebook for days in the past

If Hamilton gets a good start then he should be OK but if he bogs down (which he has done a few times) then he will be in trouble.

I can see Alonso being in 3rd or better after the first corner. The Ferarris always seems to be able to start very well and I can see Button trying to defend Vettel and Alonso nipping in.

A lot comes down to the Safety car if there is one as it can turn a race around depending on when it happens with tyre changes.

its harder than it seems, got to avoid BBC sport/SSN, any news program and any social networking site, as well as this thread

Proper arse. I can only watch the first hour of this race so I'm going to give it a miss and watch it later on iPlayer.

Random question, do they all use the same fuel?

No, each team supplies its own fuel but obviously there are rules they have to stick to when it comes to the formula.

Cheers Dave, just realised they rarely speak about the make up of the fuel

If they knew they had a problem, they should have sorted it. Fucking idiots.

Obviously thought they had mote chance trying to fix it and starting pole, than changing the gearbox and getting relegated

I think this is just the year of the Alonso

Such an unlucky year for Hamilton despite one of his best years driving in F1.

Im pretty sure they would of done all they could and at the time thought they did the best option.

Seriously unlucky though, hopefully the media wont go crazy now saying that he's had enough of mclaren.
