Im in two minds whether to do it or not as I have an overdraft facility with my bank and im almost on the limit of it and havent got the money to pay it back in one go... but can they turn round and say they are closing my bank account and want the money back in so many days?

Although it will be in the T&C of the overdraft that they can recall that at any time. So they might leave you with an open account and unauthorised borrowing which will not only cost the money that you claimed back, it will affect your credit score.

Personally I would find an interest free card who do bank transfers (Virgin?) and clear the o/d, then write to your own bank.

If they don't revoke the facility as you've a positive balance, you might be able to sneak back in to it to pay the card off after 6/9 months.
