but when the bank charges me £30 for going 64pence overdrawn i think i have a right to claim it back

Thats not the point, the point is they are over charging. £12 is meant to be the limit for a charge, or at least it will be.

£4.50 is around what it costs when you go over charges, they charge £28

I think the fee should be higher, maybe then it would stop people spending money they dont have.

I think they should ban overdrafts.

you cant put the fee higher, its illegal to have penalty charges on accounts, hence why the HAVE to give the money back.

I agree with you if people are going loads and loads over, but when you go less than £10 (which is what all miine are as bills came out before money going in gets in there every month) and they charge you £28 its stupid!

Half of mine are after Ive paid a cheque in aswell, so they know money is about to go into the account!!

They should just bank bank accounts then.

We should all have Roses/Quality Street tins at home full of cash instead.

Ban all types of credit then no body would be able to spend money they dont have.
