Adjusted my gear linkage to how haynes tells you , but neutral was far too far down i.e too far towards the handbrake , and I was struggling to get into gears.
So tonight I moved the linkage forward a bit after adjustment , and the neutral etc was fine gears went in nice , untill I drove it
Turns out 1st gear is now reverse !
Total pain in the arse , any straightforward way of getting it right ?

the haynes method has always worked for me.
exept once where it took 2 days of adjusting to get it right was after fitting a quickshift linkage, had to keep adjusting it by 2mm either way, taking off the ramps, driving it, back on ramps, more fiddling......
