i put a 1.6 se engine in my sri corsa.ever since iv had it iv had problems.sometimes it feels sliggish and it is crap up 2 bout 3000 rpm then it goes ok.when i put my foot 2 da floor it holds back then if i let off a bit it gets better.iv changed the coil pack,the ecu,the ht leads,the spark plugs the crank sensor.i thought it mite b the iac valve.
also sumtimes there is a whistleing sound.
any ideas?

mines doing exactly the same but its a 1.2 8v so just gunna change engine
would like to know what it is though

iv got the same, well sounds the same... really need it sorting as i wanna put it on rolloing road on the 1st april

wot engine u got matty?there so many fings it cud b .im guna end up changing the whole engine soon.but i dont wanna cus of how quick it is.
so far iv changed the fuel pump,fuel rail ,injectors,spark plugs ,ht leads,coil pack,crank sebsor,iv even dun the head gasket.the only fing left it cud b is the 2 sensors on the inlet manifold or the 1 in the inlet pipe or the temp sensor in the back of the head.so if i was u i wud try them 4 sensors b4 ne fink else.

temp sensor has been changed already, its been on diagnostics and nothing came from it

cud be an air leak on the inlet hapend to a mate on his 1.6

i fink its a case of more than 1 problem.it sounds like it has got an air leak.but it only plays up sumtimes.i changed the feul filter yesterday that made a bit of a difference aswell.im guna change the throttle body and the gasket next and also the 2 sensors that r on it.see wot that does.

could this be anything to do with the injectors sticking? as i heard corsa's are quite common for this
