I want to get some lowering springs. I want to lower 40mm and was looking through the pvd catalogue and found apex ones. I thought these would be ideal, but was told they don't actually lower to the full 40mm. What other springs could I get which wont cost the earth, but will drop 40 ??. And I only want the springs.

Thanx guys

BigCon.

yeah that is really weird !!. I wouldn't have been impressed, unless I was after the dragster look !.
How about Eibach ?? They any good ?? says they lower 45 - 50mm. I am only getting 16's, my main concern is rubbing. I don't want to / can't be arsed with rubbing down/ cutting back arches. Thats why I don't really want to go lower than -40mm. Would 50mm drop be ok on 16's ??

: when I have got some money..... thought all I had to do was get the springs and get them fitted, that would be no probs. But then you told me about the probs you had and the extra (£200) money you had to pay....... thats put me off it for now

you can lower more than they if you have the correct offset on your alloys...

Well ideally would want et49, but think the alloys I want are et45. I don't want to get any shocks or dampers, am hoping to run standard with just lowering springs. I thought u couldn't go lower than 40mm without replacing the whole suspension ??
