We're hoping to order an electric fireplace next week. It fits flush against the wall and to avoid removing, cutting, the replacing the skirting board, I'd like to cut the section out while it's stuck to the wall if possible. Is there a specific method/tool for this job?

I've got one from BnQ which is 1/4 of the cost, but does the job.

I cut the fireplace to the same shape as the skirting board and it slotted in great. can be finished off with some caulk

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
